Assam tenders: how to find and download them

Most Assam government works are tendered on the state’s e-procurement portal, assamtenders.gov.in, which runs on NIC’s GePNIC system. This guide explains how the portal lists tenders and what to check before you bid, and how Luit AI searches it for you alongside central portals.

Where Assam tenders are published

Departments such as Public Works (Roads and Buildings), Public Health Engineering, Water Resources, Panchayat and Rural Development, municipal corporations and boards, and councils such as the Bodoland Territorial Council publish e-tenders on assamtenders.gov.in. Central departments and PSUs working in Assam publish on CPPP or their own portals, and goods and services are bought through GeM.

Reading a tender on the portal

  • Tender ID: the portal’s own number, such as 2026_PWDRB_12345_1. It starts with the year the tender was created, followed by the organisation’s code and a running number.
  • Published date and bid submission end date: the window in which bids can be uploaded.
  • Document download end date: after this the portal stops giving out the tender documents, even though it still lists them.
  • Bid opening date, tender value, EMD and tender fee: shown on the tender’s detail page.
  • Corrigenda: changes to dates or terms are published as separate documents on the same tender.

Before you bid

  • Register the firm on the portal and keep a valid Class 3 digital signature certificate (DSC) for bid submission.
  • Download every document, including the BOQ and any corrigenda, before the document download end date.
  • Check eligibility, EMD and fee terms in the notice, and keep the EMD ready in the mode it asks for.
  • Upload the bid before the submission end date; portals are often slow in the last hours.

Search Assam tenders with Luit AI

Instead of opening the portal’s search screens one by one, ask Luit AI for the work and place, for example “road repair tenders in Kokrajhar” or “PHE water supply work in Nagaon above ₹50 lakh”. It searches assamtenders.gov.in with the other Northeast portals, CPPP and GeM, shows open tenders newest first, and saves the official documents to your desk while the download window is open.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I find Assam government tenders?

Assam government tenders are published on the state e-procurement portal, assamtenders.gov.in, run on NIC’s GePNIC system. Central departments and PSUs working in Assam publish on CPPP (eprocure.gov.in) or their own portals, and GeM is used for goods and services. Luit AI searches these together from one request.

How do I download tender documents from assamtenders.gov.in?

Open the tender from the portal’s search or latest-tenders list, solve the CAPTCHA, and download the notice, tender documents and BOQ from its detail page. Documents can be downloaded only until the tender’s document download end date. Luit downloads them to your desk automatically when you save a tender.

What does the tender ID on the Assam portal mean?

A GePNIC tender ID such as 2026_PWDRB_12345_1 starts with the year the tender was created, followed by the organisation’s code and a running number. It is the safest way to refer to a tender, because titles are often repeated.

Do I need a digital signature to bid on Assam tenders?

Yes. Bids on assamtenders.gov.in are signed and submitted with a Class 3 digital signature certificate (DSC) registered to the bidder on the portal. Searching and reading tenders does not need one.
